Maternal Grandfather
The maternal grandfather of Al-Haaj Dr Hafiz Muhammad Farrukh Hafeez was hailed from Sindh. Later on, he migrated to Lahore and then to Rajay Ki Sharif in Gujrat. After spending few years in Gujrat, he went back to Lahore. By profession, he was landlord and by cast he was Soomro. The tomb of maternal grandfather is near Punjab University, Lahore.
Paternal Grandfather
The Paternal Grandfather of Al Haaj Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Farrukh Hafeez hails from Rajay Ki Shareef, Gujrat. He resided there since birth till death. His tomb is also in Rajay Ki Shareef, Gujrat.
Early Education
Al Haaj Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Farrukh Hafeez got his early education from his home as his parents were highly educated. His mother holds a Masters degree from Punjab University, Lahore. Moreover, both his parents gave him religious education.
Al Haaj Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Farrukh Hafeez completed his Matriculation from Missionary High School, Lahore in 1970. Later on, he did F.Sc (Pre-Medical) from Islamia College Railway Road, Lahore in distinction.
He completed his MBBS from Nishtar Medical College, Multan, whereas, Special Eye related courses were completed from King Edward Medical University, Lahore.
Professional Career as an Ophthalmology Doctor
Al Haaj Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Farrukh Hafeez started his professional career in the field of ophthalmology as a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) in the Eye Department of MEO Hospital, Lahore after clearing the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC).
Dr. Farrukh, a renowned eye specialist at MEO Hospital in Lahore, has made legendary contributions to the field of ophthalmology. Achievements
- During his job he researched “Refractive Errors and Its Treatment” and; “Cystoid Macular Odema and Its Treatment “.
- He later established, the “Fluorescein Angiography” Department for Research Study.
- He established the First ever “Free Mobile Eye Service Department” on behalf of MEO Hospital, Lahore.
- He was praised and awarded with a shield for successfully organizing the” Conference on Silver Jubilee of International Experts of Eyes” in collaboration with the “Ophthalmological Society of Pakistan”.
- He also participated in the 125th International Conference organized by Kind Edward Medical University, Lahore.
- He organized and participated in Afro-Asian Combined International Conference. He was also awarded lifetime membership by the Ophthalmological Society of Pakistan in commemoration to his services.

He got divine spiritual patronage from an honored saint (WALI ALLAH) HAZRAT SUFI ABDUL GHANI SAHIB (R.A) after which He was isolated from routine activities and underwent hard training for the evolution of personal character for 14 years. Afterward, He was ordered by His Murshid to serve humanity with medicine and DUA at Dera Hazrat Mian sahib Kadhar Shareef.
